After managing household chores, homemakers can utilize their free time to engage in small self-employment activities to enhance their livelihoods. With the vision of “Sabka Vikas Apna Vikas” (Everyone’s Development is Our Development), contributing to the building of a strong and prosperous India, the Homemaker Self-Employment Association in Devbhoomi Himachal has initiated a revolution for homemakers’ self-employment. This initiative focuses on making cloth bags, paper envelopes, and clay utensils to promote a clean India free from single-use plastic.

Homemakers will leverage their handicraft skills such as embroidery, sewing, knitting, teddy bear making, and other crafts. Additionally, they will produce market-demanded items such as pickles, preserves, and other goods. This initiative aims to foster economic growth for every mother, sister, and daughter in urban, rural, and other backward areas through self-employment, making every homemaker self-reliant.
