About Grihini Sangh
Grihini Swayam Swarozgar Sangh (GSSS) is a registered women’sdevelopment organization based in the topmost corner of the persistent poverty stricken area of Indora, Himachal Pradesh,India. The society is the result of a visionary vision of our founder Ashok Pathania who wanted to do something different for housewives and women dependent on their husbands to do something for themselves.
Our Activity
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
Grihani Swayam Swarozgar Sangh empowers women through education, training, and skills development, focusing on handicrafts and small-scale industries. We help women become self-reliant and are committed to their ongoing welfare.
HANDCRAFT SKILLS
Woolen weaving and handicrafts provide vital income for local women, who receive training and market support from our NGO. We aim to extend self-employment to every household by leveraging government schemes and creating practical opportunities.
YOUTH EMPLOYMENT
Grihini Swayam Swarozgar Sangh trains Himachal Pradesh youth to address societal issues and empowers them to work on health, education, and development. Our aim is to foster youth leadership, solve unemployment, and create future employment opportunities.
HELPING DISTRESS WOMEN
Grihani Swayam Swarozgar Sangh helps women and girls from minority communities facing domestic violence by providing livelihood training for economic self-sufficiency. We aim to promote social and gender justice.
ORGANIC FARMING
Agriculture is a primary income source in Himachal Pradesh, with many women engaged in farming. GSSS NGO supports farmers by organizing cultivation programs, providing training on organic farming techniques, and teaching effective market strategies.
EXTRACTING WHEAT
Grihini Swayam Swarozgar Sangh uses eco-friendly turbines to power wheat flour processing, making it efficient and healthy. We also focus on improving women's rights, education, health, and providing nutritious food.
PICKLE
Our organization trains women in pickle making and other skills to create quality products, generate income, and achieve self-reliance. Join us in fostering economic independence through these valuable skills.
CHAPPAL
We train women in chappal making to help them create quality footwear, generate income, and achieve financial independence. Support us in empowering women and transforming lives.

About our Founder & CEO
Mr. Ashok Pathania
After completing an ITI diploma in automobile engineering in 1998, I interned at HRTC Jassur and worked for three years at GNB Tata Motors. In 2003, I moved to the UAE, where I worked in civil engineering and received the Best Safety Practitioner award from Qatar Petroleum in 2010. I also worked part-time with Alliance In Motion Global from 2016 to 2018. Returning to India in 2019, I established Grihini Swayam Swarozgar Sangh to address local unemployment and economic issues. I formed over 2,500 SHG groups across Himachal, facilitated skill training, and organized exhibitions for product sales. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I assisted the community and received awards for my service. In 2022, we collaborated with the Himachal Pradesh government for the Saras Fair, boosting local incomes. Today, over 11,000 families are connected through the KUTUMB Social app, where we provide support and guidance on government schemes and self-employment.
